Any way to upgrade an XP inf file to a Vista compatible inf file?

Hi!
I have a USBMIDI interfrace driver that was developed for XP. It installs
and works fine on a XP machine, but on my new Vista machine the installation
complains about a missing line in the inf file.
Problem is that the hardware manufacturer has not developed a Vista Driver.
Is there any way to patch the inf file so it will install the driver on
vista?
I'm of course assuming that the driver software it self is vista compatible.

Unfortunately there's no way to automatically path the INF file to install
on Vista. The error message you mention could of course refer to any
number of different settings that were required but were not found.
