Hi

I've made a pnpx device and installed with a do-nothing driver. It
works fine for now, a device icon appears on "Devices and Printers"
folder...

My question is, how should I do to override the event "double click
on the icon" and customize the "context menu"? Traditionally, who is
handling the event? device driver? maybe something like driver
service?

For now, double-clicking leads to an upnp device properties dialog,
but what I like to do is to show a device web page on the browser..

take a look at the Windows 7 "Devices and Printers Folder Extensibility
Guide", and other related documents on the Windows Device Experience WHDC
site.

Devices and Printers Folder Extensibility Guide:
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/DeviceExperience/DevPrintFolder-Ext.mspx

Windows Device Experience:
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/DeviceExperience/default.mspx

hope this helps,
jim.
